Dumpster sizes and dimensions

Eco Waste’s roll-off dumpsters are all about 8 feet wide and run from 14 feet long (12, 15, 16 and 20 yard) to 16 feet (25 yard) and 20 feet (40 yard); the height is what changes, from about 3 feet on the 12-yard to 8 feet on the 40. The 12 to 25-yard sizes rent for $650 for two weeks with 3 tons included, and the 40-yard for $825 with 5 tons.

*Pickup loads assume a full-size pickup’s 8-ft bed filled level, about 2.5 cubic yards. Dimensions are approximate outside measurements read from Eco Waste’s size diagrams. A roll-off’s sloped nose and ribbed walls mean the box math (L × W × H ÷ 27 — 12: 12.4, 15: 16.6, 16: 18.7, 20: 24.9, 25: 28.4, 40: 47.4 yd³) runs higher than the rated size, which is what the bin actually holds.

Dumpster rental questions

How much does a dumpster cost in Orange County with Eco Waste?

The 12, 15, 16, 20 and 25-yard dumpsters are $650 for a two-week rental with up to 3 tons of debris or green waste included. The 40-yard is $825 with up to 5 tons. Each extra ton is $135, rounded to the nearest ton, and each day past two weeks is $15.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

Two weeks is included. After that it's $15 for each additional day, unless you've made other arrangements with us.

What can't go in the dumpster?

No electronics, tires or hazardous materials. Heavy loads (concrete, dirt, brick) have their own rates and a fill line, and green waste or roots can't go in a concrete or brick load.

Can I put concrete or dirt in a dumpster?

Yes, in the 12 to 25-yard bins, filled only to the 10-cubic-yard fill line inside the bin. Clean concrete (no rebar, no brick) or clean dirt is $775, a mixed dirt-and-concrete load is $950, and clean brick is a $950 flat fee. Mix trash into any of those and the whole load is weighed and billed at debris rates.

What happens if I overfill the dumpster?

Keep the load below the red line inside the bin. An overfilled dumpster (above the red line) can carry additional charges.

Can you move the dumpster once it's dropped?

Yes. Moving a dumpster on site is $150.

The Eco Waste Dumpster Bag holds 4 cubic yards (7′ × 4′ × 4′) and up to one ton. Fill it at your own pace, then book the pickup and our crane truck lifts it out: $279 covers up to 2,000 lb, and each extra bag on the same pickup is $179, up to 3 bags a pickup. Over a ton is $135 per ton, from an on-site scale reading you see before you’re charged.
