Rules at the gate
- OC-origin waste only: bring a contract, work order or permit showing the OC job address.
- Businesses need a valid business license.
- Cover and secure every load; uncovered loads can be warned, cited or turned away.
- Weigh in / weigh out; ask the fee booth about a tare-weight decal.
- Dirt over 5 cu yd or 8 tons: Soil Information Form + lab results first (soil@ocwr.ocgov.com).
- Free mattress loads must be clean, dry and not mixed with trash.
Heads up
- Strike: since Oct 13, 2026 public self-haul is closed “until further notice” due to picketing; commercial access not stated — call (714) 834-4000.
- Clean asphalt: fee page says 'not accepted' as of Oct 12 2026; exemptions page says standard fees apply. Call (714) 834-4000.
- Appliances: July 2025 flyer says residents only, not haulers; FAQ says accepted. Treat as unavailable to haulers.
Tip: Haulers enter at 7am (6–7am is transfer trucks only). A 10–12 yd dirt load is over 5 cu yd, so it needs pre-tested soil certification.
