Tierra Verde Industries (TVI) EcoCentre

What it takes

2 materials are marked Call first because the operator does not publish an answer or its pages disagree.

Not accepted: Municipal trash, treated/painted wood, metals (conflict), tires, TVs/e-waste, asbestos, batteries, paint cans, liquids, contaminated soil, ash, manure

Rates

No rates published ('Call us for rates'). Three rate classes: C&D, greenwaste, woodwaste. Checked October 15, 2026.

C&D diversion credit: Dana Point–certified mixed C&D; Dana Point tickets must show a Dana Point origin. Not on OCWR's 2025 list.

Rules at the gate

• Green or wood loads with dirt, soil, sod, palm or rock are reclassified and charged the C&D rate.
• Tree trunks and palm carry special-handling surcharges — ask the attendant.
• Treated or painted wood is rejected; load checks look for it.
• No checks at the gate; credit cards +3%. A deposit may be required.
• Rates include city, county and state taxes and can change without notice.

Heads up

• Metal: TVI's C&D list includes scrap metal but its prohibited list bans 'metals' — incidental metal seems tolerated; confirm.
• Not on OCWR's 2025 county approved list (it was on 2023's); Dana Point, Laguna Beach and Lake Forest still list it.
• Mattresses and appliances not addressed by TVI — call first.

Tip: Keep green and wood loads clean — any dirt, sod, palm or rock bills them at the C&D rate. Only transfer/C&D site open Sundays.
